El próximo miércoles día 23 de mayo, se celebra un taller de nudos gratuito en la penúltima sesión del programa anual “Hablamos de Montaña”.

ii-encuentro-escaladores-teverga-tunelin-sector-escaladaEn esta ocasión, se trata de un Taller de Nudos. Los Nudos son el  fundamento de las técnicas básicas de seguridad en Montañismo, Alpinismo, Escalada, espeleología o descenso de barrancos. Manejar   cinco o seis tipos nudos es garantía de resolución de los problemas técnicos típicos de las ascensiones clásicas en la montaña.

Este taller se podrá complementar con el curso de Seguridad en Montaña, organizado para los días 3 y 4 de junio, donde los asistentes podrán practicar las técnicas básicas, realizables con el mínimo material posible, rappel, aseguramiento, cuerda fija.

Estas actividades serán dirigidas por Víctor Arias y Manolo Taibo, responsable de Seguridad en Montaña del Grupo Ensidesa Avilés.

Todas las actividades del programa “Hablamos de Montaña” se realizarán en la sede social del Grupo de Montaña Ensidesa de Avilés, avenida Marqués de Suances bajos 4 y 6. Siendo su acceso libre y gratuito. El horario es de 19,30 a 20,30 h.

Ya esta abierta la inscripción para el II Open Racing de Descenso de Barancos, que un año más se celebrará en el Concejo asturiano de Ponga, en el barranco de Carangas. 

barrancos-racing-ponga-descenso-asturiasLa prueba por segundo año consecutivo esta enmarcada en el Circuito Nacional de Descenso de Barrancos. Este año será la tercera prueba de este campeonato, tras las disputadas a finales de marzo en Palma de Mallorca y la disputada hace pocos días en el barranc de línfern, en la Comunidad Valenciana. 

Tras el dominio del los equipos asturianos en el Campeonato nacional de 2011, Jaire Aventura se proclamó Campeón y Trasgu Aventura fue subcampeón, este año se espera una gran afluencia de equipos a tierras asturianas en el mes de junio, ya que tras las dos primeras pruebas la clasificación esta mucho más apretada que en el año 2011.

La prueba asturiana se disputará los días 23 y 24 de junio de 2012, y la inscripción de los equipos debe realizarse a través del la pagina web oficial de la prueba: www.barrancosenponga.com

Como novedad este año cabe destacar el cambio de modalidad de la prueba. El año pasado, en la Foz de Viboli, se corrió en la modalidad SPRINT CANYON, pero este año al realizarse la prueba en Carangas, la organización ha decidido utilizar la modalidad DOWN CANYON.

Los 28 rapeles de que consta el barranco de Carangas y la distancia a recorrer hacen de la prueba asturiana la etapa reina del Circuito Nacional de Barrancos, algo que la organización espera se vea reflejado en la asistencia de competidores y público el próximo mes de junio a tierras ponguetas.

Benjamín Torre (Motopie Salon - junior) gana la primera prueba del Open de Asturias de Descenso en Btt (DH) celebrado en Deva (Gijón) por solo dos décimas.

 

open-descenso-btt-dh-asturias-gijon-deva-2El domingo amanecía un buen día y con ese sol y la subida de temperaturas el circuito se fue secando a lo largo de la mañana hasta dejar un recorrido con un agarre casi perfecto. Los entrenamientos dejaban claro quienes eran los favoritos, corredores de gran nivel como el corredor de Scoot Iraitz Etxebarria y actual campeón de España sub23, Iago Garay de Trek, Eric Portillo de Nukeproof  y los 2 corredores que lucharon por el triunfo general el año pasado, Benjamin Torre de Motopie Salon y Saúl Martín de Cuentatrás Team.

Con el nivel tan alto de corredores parecía que el espectáculo no iba a faltar y así fue. Comenzó la carrera y los pilotos daban todo por conseguir el mejor tiempo en el circuito de Deva. Benjamin Torre consiguió hacer una bajada increíble, y se proclamo ganador de la prueba, seguido muy de cerca por Saúl Martín a tan solo 2 decimas. El tercer peldaño fue para Eric Portillo.

La primera prueba del Open de Asturias de Descenso ha finalizado, los corredores ya están pensando en la siguiente prueba, el 20 de este mes en Presno.

Canon-do-Sil-fedme-trail-campeonato-carreras-espaa-orenseEl Campeonato de España Individual y por Federaciones Autonómicas de Carreras por Montaña FEDME 2012 se ha celebrado el domingo 6 de mayo en Parada do Sil (Orense) con una participación de 273 corredores. El agua y el barro, consecuencia de las incesantes lluvias sufridas en el último mes, se hicieron dueños del recorrido, con tramos que parecían auténticas piscinas,  en un trazado de por sí ya durísimo: 33,2 km. y 2.220 metros de desnivel positivo, consiguiendo entrar en meta solo 163 participantes.

Un campeonato de España que se recordará por su dureza y que obligó a múltiples abandonos por torceduras, caídas y agotamientos. En estas carreras un mal apoyo ó un momento de debilidad mental pueden trastocar y mucho las clasificaciones al final de la misma. Ha sido muy duro el recorrido por la cantidad de agua que arrollaba por los caminos, atravesábamos riachuelos sin ver donde poníamos los pies y en ocasiones pasábamos balsas de varios metros de largo con el agua cubriéndonos por las rodillas, ha sido épico. Creo que todos los atletas hemos llegado exhaustos a la línea de meta, pero satisfechos después de correr en condiciones tan duras, y yo particularmente estoy muy contento ya que era uno de mis grandes objetivos este año.

He conseguido el entorchado de Campeón de España Veterano 2012 al ganar mi categoría, consiguiendo además un meritorio puesto 27º de la clasificación absoluta y teniendo el honor de ser el primer asturiano en cruzar la línea de meta, aunque corría fuera de la selección autonómica por motivos de reglamentación. Y no he podido ayudar a Asturias con me hubiera gustado, aunque desde aquí quiero decir que en todo momento me sentía como representante asturiano. Como el campeonato era a nivel individual y por Federaciones Autonómicas (en ocasiones llamado erróneamente Selecciones Autonómicas), también puedo decir que por reglamento podía haber defendido a la federación donde tengo licencia, pero creo que con buen criterio ético por parte de ellos y por parte mía, esto no iba a suceder.

La carrera

Canon-do-Silfedme-trail-carreras-campeonatoYa en la reunión técnica del sábado nos dicen que va a ver mucha agua, en tal sitio y en otro sitio, y que en otro sitio arroya mucha agua y que en tal sitio hay más agua, además de que hay mucha agua en todo el recorrido, a excepción de las dos subidas fuertes, pero que tengamos cuidado en las bajadas porque hay mucha agua …total que cuando el director de carrera no se sale de este guión y encima dice que llegados a tal ó cual punto “no sabe como narices vamos a pasar porque hay mucha agua”… pues eso carcajada general y murmullos múltiples. Y no se equivocó el tío, agua hasta las rodillas en múltiples balsas de agua estancada, agua hasta las espinillas en múltiples charcos, agua por encima de los tobillos en múltiples riadas, riachuelos, torrenteras, …al final de agua hasta los coj…. pero he de reconocer que ya a mitad del recorrido empezaba a ser hasta divertido atravesar estas zonas sin ver dónde poner los pies y pidiendo a los dioses no caerte, no retorcer un tobillo y no lesionarte. Realmente épico. Y una proeza terminar la carrera.

Tanto el sábado como el domingo antes de la salida, animo y les deseo lo mejor a los corredores/as de nuestra selección asturiana, ellos/as no lo notan pero a mí me sale del alma, casi con la vena del cuello a punto de reventar y emocionado por estar allí, pero siguen enfrascados en no defraudar porque los días previos se habló y mucho de este tema, estoy convencido de que los que estaban allí dieron lo mejor de sí.

Que el criterio de selección para escoger a los corredores no gustó a mucha gente (si no lo digo reviento), totalmente de acuerdo. Si de ésta no aprenden es porque no quieren, pero de la entrega de los corredores no dudo ni un momento. Así que hay unas bases sentadas para mejorarlas en un futuro y está en mano de nuestros dirigentes, porque a los atletas lo que nos gusta es correr.

Sobre todo porque en los campeonatos oficiales (autonómicos y nacionales) se trata de correr y de competir para conseguir una buena clasificación, y aclaro esto último: que no digo que no se corra y no se compita en otras pruebas, pero en las de este tipo existe un plus añadido que tienes que dar en tu entrega porque lo que realmente vale son los puestos y las puntuaciones para tu equipo ó para tu federación y para ti como corredor individual, que como dice el dicho popular “en la rula no preguntan, apuntan” por eso creo que tienen que ir los que mejor estén en ese momento de la temporada y los que más corren porque salvedad alguna siempre están ahí en esas posiciones delanteras.

Resumiendo, como no he querido hacer una crónica detallada, ni siquiera con nombres propios, ni de lo que a mí me aconteció en semejante batallar para terminar la carrera, le doy la enhorabuena a las chicas por ese gran resultado conseguido, el 5º puesto femenino por federaciones (detrás de vascas, catalanas, andaluzas y valencianas, …casi nada) y felicitar a los chicos por su lucha y compromiso en ese día tan especial.

Este fin de semana 12 y 13 de mayo tendrá lugar en Asturias unas jornadas de convivencia abiertas a todos los trail runners bautizado como Avientu Training Camp.

 

avientu-trainning-camp-trail-sierra-aramoCon esta actividad el Club Avientu pretende unir a corredores de montaña y fomentar esta actividad tan en auge en los últimos años, invitando a "probar" la montaña a aquella gente que está en duda o que no tiene con quien salir a la montaña.

Se trata de pasar un buen fin de semana haciendo lo que más nos gusta, disfrutando de la naturaleza y conviviendo con otros trail-runners.

Así, el sábado está previsto un entrenamiento de más de 35 Km y 5000 metros de desnivel acumulado, adecuado para corredores experimentados que estén preparando carreras de larga distancia.

Lugar: Sierra del Aramo y Llosoriu.

Hora: 6.45 en El Polideportivo de La Foz.

Tiempo estimado: 8 horas.

 

Por la tarde, de Morcín a Pola de Siero, donde a las 19 horas en el Bar El Gasoline se proyectarán 2 actividades de 2 grandes corredores de montaña como son Santi Obaya y José Francisco Gutierrez Piñera.

 

El domingo iremos a Nava y tocaremos la Sierra de Peñamayor para hacer un recorrido de 24km apto para todos aquellos que quieran iniciarse en las carreras por montaña. Es duro pero tiene varias escapatorias y no es necesario hacer el recorrido completo.Saldremos de Nava hacia Fuensanta y desde alli subida a Les Praeres primero y a la Peña despues.El descenso por las Foces del Rio Pendón es simplemente precioso.

Lugar: Peñamayor

Hora: 9.15 en El Polideportivo de Nava.

Tiempo estimado: 4 horas.

 

Tras la actividad haremos una comida para finalizar estas primeras jornadas de montaña.
